Parker Cottage - Bed & Breakfast - Cape Town - where opulent, heritage hospitality doesn't cost the earth

The Southmoor Room - Cosy Room

The Southmoor Room is one of Parker Cottage's Cosy rooms. It has a distinctly 'country gentry' feel: to its decor. The golden-brown feature wall enhances the glowing brass and wrought iron Queen bed and combines with soft yellows to give the room a warmly welcoming atmosphere. There is a large sash window facing out through colonial shutters onto a small courtyard of the guesthouse.

There is an en-suite bathroom with shower over and a stately 1930s mahogany wardrobe (which was Liz's from her house in Oxford many years ago) along with a tub armchair.

We bought the Nguni cow (a charcoal sketch) from a small village called Bathhurst, Eastern Cape. We love all things Xhosa at Parker, so cows make quite an appearance!
